JV is a Newark native, Indigenous, 1st gen child of immigrants. JV began working in sexuality education over 10 years ago with Masakhane, a youth driven and community-based organization promoting sexual liberation, including the right to pleasure, for marginalized communities. JV is a facilitator of Adult Sex Ed programming, including Spanish-speakers, Adults with IDD, and older adults aged 55+. JV has lead workshops on Environmental Racism and SRJ in community and as a speaker for the Sexual Liberators and Movers (SLAM) virtual conference.
